![]() Gameplay is hard to go back to after KH2, the story doesn't have as much going on that I'm interested in. KH1 - I get why some like this more than me, but I think it's more of a humble beginning than anything. KHUX - Obnoxious amount of filler and gacha gameplay hold it back, but when the story gets going it introduces some of the most compelling and interesting additions to the series lore/narrative yet. Building decks to execute combos and sleights is my kinda fun.ĭDD - The plot gets wacky here but the gameplay is a solid evolution of BBS, and the level design is starting to evolve in interesting ways that will eventually lead to KH3. Battle system took a minute to get used to but once you stop trying to play it like it's KH1, it clicks more. As a fan of dungeon crawlers, I loved that the game was basically a dungeon crawler where you build your own dungeon as you go. KH3 - I have some issues with the pacing and story, but the gameplay is solid and it's great to see the series expand itself in terms of level design like this, really feel the jump from PS2/DS/PSP games to PS4 games here. Gameplay was a lot of fun for me personally, though I get why some don't like it as much. Final Mix version especially with the best series of superbosses I've seen in perhaps any game.īBS - Hard call on this spot, but I really like the unique approach to the story, which is especially strong here. KH2 - Best story, best gameplay, best overall experience. Sorry for the mini essay I just thought I would elaborate because I think this is an unpopular ranking. Haven't played: Any mobile titles, The DS games, GBA COM. I liked Reverse/Rebirth though it suffered from being a little too short and the final boss was annoying to deal with. ![]() The combat is repetitive and grindy at first and then trivial once you get Sonic Blade or Lethal Frame and that really hurts it. ![]() ![]() KH Recom: The story is really good in this game and sets up a lot of important information for later. I liked the MP system and how Donald and Goofy could both contribute something which dissapears in later titles. I spent more time in a lot of the disney worlds looking for where I was supposed to go rather than progressing the story. Unfortunately the gameplay feels really hanky and the platforming is bad. KH 1: The story is simple and I like that. It lacks the substance to be placed much higher but I liked it a lot. I liked the TWEWY and it put the game on my radar to play eventually The addition of time travel was unnecessary and the gameplay plays like BBS but with3 command melding. KH DDD: Rikus arc in this game is honestly the only reason it's this high. The story is decent but suffers from worse pacing than 3 as the Disney Worlds contributed nothing for the most part. Doing it's data fights after 3 left me a bit dissapointed. KH 2: The combat is the second best system imo because it can be broken so easily with drive forms and reflaga. The gameplay is tolerable for the most part until you fight Mysterious Figure and the other bosses. KH BBS: My favorite story in the series and I love the protagonists. The pacing is bad but I wasn't too dissapointed by how it wrapped up most things. ![]() The post game data fights and secret episode were the best bosses in the series. Took everything good from the preivious games and combined them while balancing some aspects(flowmotion and shotlocks). KH 3: My favorite combat system in the series. ![]()
